Davisco Sales Relocates
Davisco’s continued growth over the past years necessitated an office move for the sales and marketing department. “This move was an absolute necessity in allowing Davisco to continue expanding sales, customer service, the protein technology center and the consumer division,” stated Polly Olson, VP New Business, Sales and Marketing.
Now called the “Eden Prairie Office,” Davisco sales and support has relocated to the following address:
7500 Flying Cloud Drive, Suite 250A Eden Prairie, MN 55344
The telephone and fax numbers remain the same: Telephone 952-914-0400, Fax 952-914-0887.
Davisco’s new location has significantly increased almost doubling in office and lab space. Included in the expan- sion are spacious modern offices for the BiPro consumer division.
This building includes many amenities providing a posi- tive work environment, whether it’s building relationships in the on-site café, taking a walk on one of the well main- tained walking paths, or enjoying some downtime in one of the serene sitting areas. Employees also receive added perks with access to a fitness center and covered parking.
“We would like to extend an invitation for everyone to enjoy our new surroundings.” - Aimee Krengel, Marketing Manager. n
BiPro Retail Kiosk at
the Mall of America
BiPro whey protein isolate has always been available for online purchase, however this is the first time BiPro has been available to the public at a premier retail location, the Mall of America.
BiPro’s kiosk was conveniently located near the Radisson Blu hotel, next to the Rainforest Cafe and was open during the holiday season. Opening the kiosk was a start in bridging the gap and becoming closer with consumers.
According to Executive Sales Manager, Dan Macken- zie-Olson, “We were extremely excited for this kiosk opening. Not only were we able to offer in-person sales, but we also were able to educate consumers on the impor- tance of whey protein.” n
The MOA Kiosk was located on the first level, between Rainforest Cafe and the entrance to Radisson Blu, on the south side of the mall.
NC State “Powerpack”
Chocolate Milk
North Carolina State University has been a research part- ner with Davisco from the earliest days of BiPRO®, and as Davisco has grown with our new ventures, so has the NCSU Department of Food and Bioprocessing Sciences. This winter, NC State launched a chocolate milk fortified with BiPRO, in a special partnership with our Consumer division, their athletic department and the NC State Dairy Enterprise System.
Technology Director Craig Sherwin says, “It started when the food science students developed a similar product for a class, and then reached out to the University Athletic Department for help in developing the nutrient profile.” As an ingredient, BiPRO is perfect for fortified chocolate milk, and NC State commercialized the concept for dis- tribution everywhere on campus that dairy products are sold, including the Athletic Department.
Sold under the name “PowerPack”, the product contains 24 grams of protein and 2.4 grams of leucine per serv- ing. “They requested our biPro logo be used and wanted a statement on the power of leucine right on the package,” says Dr. Sherwin. “Of course, we are very happy to work with them, and it’s exciting to see it on the shelves.” n
Last fall, the Davisco Eden Prairie office enjoyed a visit to Valleyfair. Each employee was encouraged to bring their family for a fun-filled day of rides, food and camaraderie.
Participants received a full-day pass and a picnic lunch. The event took place during Valleyfair’s “Valleyscare” season. The first half of the day was a kid-friendly atmo- sphere, while the second half was geared towards teens and adults. It was a great opportunity for employees to meet each other outside of the office in a family friend- ly setting. Larry LaPierre stated, “My kids had a blast!” Dewey Fahning added, “I couldn’t get my kids off the rides!” n
